Dale Chambliss Wins Bid To Restore Famous Statue

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Birmingham, Alabama, that the lump sum bid of Seventeen Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars and no/100 ($17,150.00), submitted by DALE CHAMBLISS STONE SCULPTURE & RESTORATION, 417 South 25th Street, Birmingham, AL 35233 (IN CITY) to restore MARTIN LUTHER KING MONUMENT @ KELLY INGRAM PARK, PTK# 140768, received by the Department of Planning, Engineering and Permits on November 13, 2003, be and the same is hereby accepted, this being the lowest bid submitted, meeting specifications. The project will be funded under Park Improvement 2002 Bond Fund (CH-02859; appropriated yr2003). The contract to be awarded is let in compliance with Title 39, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and all other applicable provisions of law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Dale Chambliss Stone Sculpture & Restoration in accordance with said bid, providing that the total contract not exceed the appropriation. Copyright 2006 All Rights Reserved Dale Chambliss Stoneworks
